Today’s like Christmas Day for college football fans all across the country. It’s the early National Letter of Intent Signing Day where high school players can officially sign with the universities of their choice.Both in state schools appear to be signing top 25 classes, although ratings can change between now and the final rankings after the all star games in early January.
Up in Stillwater it’s been a quiet day with the Cowboys inking all 17 prospects that were supposed to sign. Ok State did a very nice job in state, securing 7 of the top 20 players in state headlined by Edmond Santa Fe WR Talyn Shettron and Bixby athlete Braylin Pressley.
OSU sits 25th in the 247 composite team rankings. Oklahoma’s trying to ink a top 10 class, something that seemed impossible just a couple weeks ago when Lincoln Riley announced his departure to USC. OU’s currently 10th with a couple of guys still hanging out there to complete this class. Today’s headliners include RB Gavin Sawchuck, LB Kobie McKenzie, WR Jayden Gibson, and QB Nick Evers, the last two committed just this weekend.
