The Merritt Oilerettes fought extremely hard yesterday morning in the Class 2A State Tournament quarterfinals against the #2 Pocola Lady Indians. Merritt stayed in the game throughout but ultimately fell to Pocola 41-35. The Oilerettes finish the season with a 21-6 record and their first state tournament appearance since 2010.
The Wford Lady Eagles were eliminated from the 4A girls state tournament this morning. Wford ran into the buzzsaw that is #1 Tuttle and fell 62-37. Wford ends their season 24-4. The Eagles are just underway inside the big house in the 4A boys semifinals against Victory Christian.
