There’s a clear line developing in the baseball standings in Class 4A’s District 4.

4 of the 7 teams competing in the district are unbeaten while the other 3 are still in search of their first district wins. Yesterday the Big Elk Baseball team kept rolling with a district sweep of Anadarko. The Elks pounded the Warriors 24-1 in game 1 and 13-0 in game two. Kingfisher swept Western Heights 8 and 13 nothing. Clinton outslugged Woodward 14-13.

About halfway through the district schedules, the standings look like this: Elk City’s out front at 6-0, Kingfisher and Weatherford are tied at 4-0, Clinton’s next at 3-0, Woodward’s 5th at 0-5. Western Heights and Anadarko are tied in the cellar with 0-6 records.
