Two Car Crash in Washita Co. Leaves Man in Critical Condition

A Yukon man is in critical condition after being involved in a two vehicle wreck in Washita County Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the accident took place at approximately 2:43 p.m. on US Highway 152, 7 miles west of Dill City when the 2001 Cadillac Deville driven by 33-year-old Nicholas Harshberger of Yukon struck a 2017 Mercedes SUV that had failed to yield at the intersection of a county road and the highway.

As a result of the impact, the Mercedes reportedly rolled a quarter time.

Harshberger was flown from the crash site to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he was admitted in critical condition with head, lower extremities, and trunk internal injuries. A passenger in the Cadillac, 40-year-old Jessica Hawkins of Burns Flat was transported to Alliance Health Clinton where she was treated and released.

The driver of the Mercedes, 60-year-old Beibei Peng of Flushing, New York was transported to Great Plains Regional Medical Center in Elk City where she to was treated for minor injuries and released.
