During the October meeting of the Oklahoma Aeronautics Commission, the Commission approved a motion to allow the agency to act as the agent for the Oklahoma Space Industry Development Authority (OSIDA) for the Clinton-Sherman Airport in Burns Flat.

Before the approval, State Director of Aeronautics Grayson Ardies updated the Commission of the interim study that took place in the Oklahoma House of Representatives regarding the airport. He said the airport is getting attention for potential business development thanks in large part to Boeing currently testing their latest aircraft at the facility.

The approved motion will allow the agency to act as the agent for OSIDA for planning, construction project prerequisites, consultant selection, ACIP implementation, construction oversight, and project closeout for the next five years.
