The Clinton City Council is scheduled to meet in regular session tonight.
Items the council will consider include a resolution that, if approved, would see the city accept just under $1.6 million of ARPA funds that are provided by the coronavirus local fiscal recovery fund. If approved the full amount will be used for the general provision of government services.
The Council will also consider a quote to repair the train track at Acme Park. The quote from McGrath Rail LLC out of Tulsa is for just under $65,000.
Tonight’s meeting in city hall is scheduled to begin at 5:30.
In other City of Clinton news, two businesses have announced their intention in locating to Clinton.
The first being Great Plains Kubota has announced the purchase of Lindley Farm Equipment in Cordell, and their plans to move the business into the former car dealership facility on U.S. Highway 183 and Interstate 40.
The second business planning to locate in Clinton is White Buffalo Coffee Bar. The shop already has a location in Weatherford with a location currently under construction in Elk City.
