Medical Condition Causes One Vehicle Accident in Washita County

A Dill City man was hospitalized Friday morning after being involved in a one vehicle accident in Washita County.

A report shows that the driver may have been having a stroke during the mishap.

According to the collision report provided by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on State Highway 152, 2.6 miles west of Cordell when while driving a 2004 Ford Ranger, 70-year-old Patrick Moore Jr. departed the roadway to the right, over-corrected and departed the road to the left. After departing the road the pickup struck a guardrail which caused the vehicle to roll one full time.

Moore was transported to the Cordell Hospital before being air lifted to Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he was admitted in stable condition with no injuries due to the accident, but for what appears to be a stroke he was having during the crash.
