Latest Covid Numbers Continue to Fall Across Oklahoma

The latest COVID-19 numbers in the region show one county in the area show improvement while another county that traditionally has been Covid-free has seen a case emerge.

According to the latest figures from the Oklahoma State Department of Health, Beckham and Washita counties are again without a Covid case however Roger Mills County is reporting one case out of the community of Reydon.

Custer County has seen it’s Covid count cut in half from 6 last week to just 3 this week. Department of Health officials say Clinton, Weatherford, and the small community of Butler all have one active case of the virus.

Statewide, officials say there are currently 1,421 active cases of Covid-19 in Oklahoma – down by 200 cases (14%) when compared to last week.

However statewide there are 130 individuals hospitalized with Covid-19, 45 of which are in the ICU, both a slight increase when compared to last week.

Only 3 hospitalizations in Region 1, which consists of Beckham, Custer, Washita and Roger Mills Counties. Of the 3, none in Region 1 are in intensive care.
