A Hydro man is wanted after he allegedly stabbed his girlfriend.

According to court records 43-year-old Jesse Lee Lyles was charged on October 6 with one felony count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon when the victim – his girlfriend – revealed to Weatherford police that the suspect had beat and stabbed her in the arm.

The woman told police that while at the suspect’s home, he told the woman to give him methamphetamine. Because the woman did not have meth, Lyles allegedly became physical towards the woman. She would tell police that she told Lyles to take her to her home so she could give him meth.

The court document revealed that while the two were traveling from Hydro to Weatherford, Lyles allegedly started to hit the woman in the face. Later the man would pull out a knife and stab the woman in the arm.

The woman would tell police that she eventually would give Lyles methamphetamine and he would drive off, leaving her on a back road between Hydro and Weatherford.

The woman would get a ride to the Weatherford Police Department and report the crime.

Bond for Lyles was set at $75,000.

As of press time, Lyles has yet to be arrested.
