A Hydro man charged with four counts of child pornography, three counts of child sex abuse and two counts of first-degree rape in Caddo County was formally arraigned last week.

According to court records, 35-year-old Tyler Wesley Davis was arraigned on October 27 in Caddo County District Court for the felony charges. During a preliminary hearing held in early October, two witnesses would testify, despite a motion made to exclude the audience.

The court would find necessary probable cause and bound the defendant over for jury trial on the offenses.

Davis, a former assistant chief of the Hydro Police Department, is accused of having intercourse with a minor on multiple occasions. The victim would tell authorities that Davis allegedly took photos and videos during the incidents.

Davis is scheduled to appear for a felony disposition docket January 19 and is scheduled for a jury trial February 28.
