The Elk City School Board is scheduled to meet tonight for the final time before school lets out this week.
According to the posted agenda, the board will receive the superintendent’s financial report, treasurer’s report, and activity fund report ending for the month of April.
It is anticipated that the board will also convene into an executive session to discuss various hirings that include an assistant principal at the elementary school, and a principal at the intermediate school. The board will act on the hirings once out of executive session.
During his superintendent’s report, Rick Garrison will also update the board on school building improvements, summer school, and give a year in review as the school year winds down.
Garrison will also update the board on the resolution to initiate legal action against the Oklahoma State Department of Education.
Tonight’s meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:00 inside the Board of Education Conference Room.
