Voters in Beckham County who want absentee ballots mailed to them for the November 9 City of Erick PSO franchise election should apply now.

According to Beckham County Election Board Secretary Sherron Manning, absentee ballots are available to any registered voter, provided they are eligible to vote in the election requested. No excuse is needed to vote by absentee.

Manning says the deadline for requesting an absentee ballot is Tuesday, November 2 at 5:00 p.m. Voters can submit a request using the OK Voter Portal at oklahoma.gov/elections. Request forms are also available at oklahoma.gov/elections and at the County Election Board office located at 306 E. Main in Sayre.

Manning reminds votes to allow time for an absentee ballot to be received, completed, and returned by mail to the County Election Board. She also says with some exceptions, all absentee ballots must be notarized before being returned.

Manning says all completed absentee ballots must be in the hands of the County Election Board no later than 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, November 9.

Manning says if anyone has questions or needs help obtaining an absentee ballot to contact the Election Board at 580-928-3314 or by emailing beckhamcounty@elections.ok.gov.
