After failing to appear for his latest court date, an outstanding warrant for arrest has been issued for an Elk City man.

According to the Beckham County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect should be considered possibly armed and dangerous.

51-year-old Edward James Guidry Jr. is wanted for a felony charge of feloniously pointing a firearm after the suspect was accused of the crime last October.

Guidry is facing other pending felony charges as well.

The Sheriff’s Office says Guidry was last seen wearing blue jeans, a green shirt and a ball cap. He may be driving one of four vehicles: a white 2019 Dodge Charger with Texas plates, a white F-250 with a white bumper guard with Texas plates, a white, 2016 Ford F-350 with tan lower panels, a black bumper guard and damage to the right rear, or a white or cream colored Chrysler 300, which was stolen from the Sayre area recently. There were reportedly weapons in the vehicle at the time it was stolen.

Authorities say Guidry has been known to switch plates on vehicles.

Officials say if the suspect is spotted, do not approach, but call 911 immediately.
