Rollover Accident Hospitalizes Two

A blowout near Clinton on Friday led to a roll over accident that put two men in the hospital.

According to the accident report provided by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the accident occurred Friday afternoon just before 4 p.m. on OK-73, 3 miles west of Clinton when the 1995 Mack truck driven by 41-year-old Jaime Ramirez of Lago Vista, Texas had a blowout to it’s front passenger side tire, causing it to depart the road and striking an embankment. The impact would cause the truck to roll one full time, coming to rest on it’s wheels.

OHP said as a result, Ramirez would be flown to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City where he was admitted. His injuries and condition were not listed in the report.

Troopers also said a passenger in the truck, 50-year-old Dawayne Robert Neail of Detroit, Michigan was also flown to OU Medical where he was admitted with trunk and leg injuries.

His condition was not disclosed as well.

OHP said both occupants were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
