A Hydro woman passed away Tuesday night after colliding with a tractor near Cordell in Washita County.

According to the collision report provided by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol the accident took place just before 8 p.m. Tuesday night, 1 mile east of Cordell on OK-152 when Troopers say while traveling westbound the 2016 Lincoln MKX driven by 32-year-old Alexis B. Murray struck the rear of a John Deer 9420 Tractor.

The collision caused the Lincoln to depart the road to the right before coming to rest.

OHP said the driver had to be extracted from the passenger side by crews from the Cordell Fire Department before being transported to a nearby hospital.

Unfortunately the driver was pronounced deceased by medical staff.

The driver of the tractor was uninjured.

Troopers reported that both drivers were not wearing seat belts at the time of the mishap.
