Nelly is set to headline ‘CMT Crossroads,’ becoming the first artist in rap to host the music series on CMT. Nelly has embraced country music for years; back in 2004, he made history with Tim McGraw on the track ‘Over and Over,’ which charted across multiple music genres.

‘CMT Crossroads: Nelly & Friends’ will find Nelly joined by Florida Georgia Line, Kane Brown, and Blanco Brown. Nelly said about the upcoming show: “I’m excited to celebrate my music with my friends and fellow artists on [CMT] Crossroads! When people talk about me crossing lines and genres, I think about it more that music brings folks together.”

Nelly is set to release his 8th studio album later this month, a new country-rap LP titled ‘Heartland’. The first two songs off the album to be released are ‘High Horse’ featuring BRELAND and Blanco Brown, as well as ‘Lil Bit’ featuring Florida Georgia Line.

‘CMT Crossroads: Nelly & Friends’ will air on September 1st at 10 PM EST.
