The hottest days of the year in western Oklahoma could be Friday and Saturday.

Meteorologists with the National Weather Service say temperatures could break 100 the next two days, but according to KOCO Meteorologist Michael Armstrong the heat index values will make it feel hotter.

Armstrong said the hottest parts of the state could be on the east side, but heat advisories could be issued for the entire state on Saturday.

The good news? A slight cold front will move into the region on Sunday, bringing with it rain chances.
