More details have been released as to why a home in Elk City was the target of an apparent raid led by the Elk City Police Department early Thursday morning.

In a press release, Elk City Police say 43-year-old Heather Kathleen Porter and 43-year-old Travis Bryce Porter were arrested in their home located at 112 Calhoon Street, after search warrants were executed when police received tips that the couple, along with their 19-year-old daughter Klaudia Porter, may have been selling and distributing illegal steroids out of the home.

The tipster told detectives that they had been in contact with Heather Porter from 2018 to the end of 2020, and had made cash purchases of the steroids at the residence seven times.

The press release stated that the detectives had custody of text messages between Porter and the buyer.

When police served the search warrant, officials say the Porters, and a minor were in the residence. During the course of the search warrant multiple items were seized and almost what appeared to be over 1,000 containers, bottles, or veils of steroids were seized from the residence along with other items that are considered to be evidence.

Both the elder Porters were arrested and booked into the Elk City Jail.

Authorities tell Paragon Communications that the District Attorney has been presented with the probable cause affidavit with recommended charges for both suspects of 1 felony count of maintaining a place where controlled dangerous substances are kept, 1 felony count of possession with the intent to distribute, 1 felony count of child neglect, and 7 felony counts of security of communications.

ECPD said Klaudia Porter was arrested Friday afternoon.
