A Weatherford woman passed away Wednesday night after being involved in a one vehicle accident in northwest Oklahoma.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 29-year-old Kiersten Lemay Kubicek was traveling on a county road in Alfalfa County when her 2004 Subaru Legacy departed the roadway for an unknown reason. OHP says the vehicle crossed back over the roadway, departed the roadway on the other side, striking an embankment in a ditch. The vehicle overturned an unknown number of times, ejecting the driver out of the rear driver’s side quarter window before coming to rest on the driver’s side.
Kubicek was pronounced deceased on the scene.
OHP says the condition of the driver and cause of the collision both remain under investigation.
