The Elk City Chamber of Commerce’s Route 66 Festival returns this weekend, and kicking off the event is the return of Block Party Elk City in downtown Elk City.
The events took a one year hiatus due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Organizer and promoter of the event Brittini Flowers says activities start tonight with Block Party Elk City that will feature live local music.
Flowers says participating downtown merchants will be open until 8 p.m. Friday night, and there will also be kids activities and inflatables at the event.
Tomorrow the Route 66 Festival gets underway in downtown Elk City at 9 a.m. with local merchants opening their doors, however Flowers says a fundraising event will begin at 7 a.m.
The Route 66 Festival wraps Saturday afternoon at 5 p.m.
