The Clinton Chamber of Commerce has issued a warning to area merchants regarding an individual or individuals issuing hot checks.
According to a statement from the chamber, they are advising to not accept any checks from “G&H Sales” that are drawn on The Bank of The West. The chamber says this is an old account that has been closed for quite some time, and it appears that someone has found and are issuing old checks.
Officials say that if anyone receives a check matching the description, or has any information regarding the checks to contact a detective at the Clinton Police Department at 580-323-2323.
