Fresh off his freshman year at the state capitol, District 57 State Representative Anthony Moore reflects on how his first year in session went.

During an appearance on KECO’s Exploring Energy show, Moore said overall he’s proud of what was accomplished, but feels there is more work to be done.

Moore’s most proud accomplishment during the 2021 Legislative Session? Funding for education.

Moore says of that funding, roughly $43 million will go towards rural schools. He says that could equate to be anywhere between $200,000 and $400,000 for some local schools.

Moore also said that the state corporate tax will see a decrease from 6% to 4% which could attract businesses to locate in Oklahoma. The personal income tax saw a 0.25% decrease as well.
