Fresh off the heels of Gov. Kevin Stitt’s planned “back to work” incentive program, the Clinton Chamber of Commerce has announced a job fair.

According to a press release from the Chamber, the job fair will have six area companies offering a wide variety of jobs that include drivers, marketing specialist, cooks, servers, cashiers, and many more.

Both fairs will be held inside the meeting room at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites located at 2000 Boulevard of Champions in Clinton – located on the south side of Interstate 40 between Exit 65 and 65A.

The first fair will take place Saturday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Monday at the same time.

The job fair will give potential employees the opportunity to be one of the first in the state to apply for the $1,200 state incentive.

The plan, announced Monday by Gov. Stitt, states that Oklahomans who are on unemployment will receive $1,200 for going back to work.

The incentive program will be available to the first 20,000 people who apply. Gov. Stitt’s executive order directs the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission to end all federal benefits including Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation, Pandemic Unemployment Assistance, Federal Pandemic Unemployment Compensation and Mixed Earners Unemployment Compensation on June 26th.
