A Watonga woman has been hospitalized after running into the back of a stopped semi.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol the crash occurred Wednesday morning just after 10 a.m. when 55-year-old Nancy Lynn Brummett drove her 2012 Subaru Forester into the back of a parked 2016 Freightliner while traveling west on State Highway 3, three miles east of Watonga in Blaine County.

The semi was parked due to a construction flagger, controlling traffic.

Brummett was flown to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City and admitted in stable condition for trunk internal and leg injuries.

The driver of the semi, 53-year-old David Ray Plummer, also of Watonga, was uninjured in the mishap.
