Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford and Sayre has announced the schedule for Commencement ceremonies for 2020 and 2021 graduates.

2020 Commencement ceremonies were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

All ceremonies will be held at the Pioneer Cellular Event Center and will also be live-streamed.

According to a press release from the school, in order to comply with CDC guidelines and SWOSU regulations during the COVID-19 pandemic, guest seating will be limited to two guests per graduate. Bar-coded tickets for guests will be provided to graduates, and tickets will be scanned for admission. The tickets will be available through stubwire.com at a future date. Guests will be required to wear masks and observe social distance.

All 2021 undergraduate ceremonies are on Saturday, May 1, either at 10 a.m. or 4 p.m. All 2020 undergraduate ceremonies are on Sunday, May 2.

All pharmacy students, 2020 and 2021, will graduate on Friday evening, April 30, at 7 p.m.

All master’s and Ed.S. (Educational Specialist) students, 2020 and 2021, will graduate on Saturday, May 1, at 1 p.m.

Officials say the SWOSU graduation application deadline is April 11. After that date, students may submit a graduation application and participate in the appropriate commencement ceremony, but their name will not be printed in the program.
