Two accidents in the area hospitalized one while the other appears to have not produced injuries.

The first occurred Sunday afternoon in Custer County on Interstate 40 near mile marker 73 when, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a 24 foot box trailer rolled over in the westbound lane. The accident closed down both lanes for a a littler over an hour. No injuries were reported.

The second accident occurred in Kiowa County two miles west of the Mountain Park community when 26-year-old Edward T. Roach of Snyder failed to negotiate a curve on a county road while riding a 2016 Yamaha X95 motorcycle. OHP says Roach departed the roadway and overturned the vehicle.

Roach was transported to Comanche County Memorial Hospital before being transported and admitted into OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City with head injuries. He was last listed to be in stable condition.

OHP says cause of the collision is still under investigation, and noted the condition of the driver as to having an odor of alcohol.
