Like many schools in the state, the Elk City School District will be benefiting from money awarded by way of the CARES Act.
Elk City Superintendent Rick Garrison says the district was awarded nearly $400,000.
Garrison says it is the districts intention to earmark nearly $280,000 to go towards existing salaries.
