A Clinton man has received a felony charge after he allegedly strangled his sister.

Details are limited, but according to a probable cause affidavit the incident occurred on July 8 when 19-year-old Kamron Tyler Gerhardt allegedly grabbed the woman’s hair, pushed her down, and put her in a choke hold. The affidavit stated that the woman was able to escape the choke hold by scratching Gerhardt, however Gerhardt was able to grab her again and place her in another choke hold.

The report went on to say that Gerhardt had also pushed another woman to the ground causing her to hurt her knee.

Gerhardt was charged with one count of domestic assault and battery by strangulation – a felony and one count of domestic abuse – assault and battery.

Gerhardt’s first court appearance is scheduled for August 7.
