Altus police say they have arrested two suspects who they believe were involved in a shooting that took place earlier this month.

According to officials with the Altus Police Department, 19-year-old Tristian Cantu along with a 17-year-old juvenile were arrested Thursday afternoon, and both were charged with shooting with intent to kill and assault and battery after warrants were issued for their arrest through the Jackson County District Court.

Officials say the arrests are in connection with a shots fired call and assault and battery against two other male individuals on the evening of May 2. When police arrived they found a 17-year-old victim, who was later transported to a local hospital. Police also recovered multiple shell casings at the scene.

While the two suspects were arrested, a resident of the home where the suspects were found was also arrested. 46-year-old Guadalupe Robles was taken into custody on a charge of harboring a fugitive.

Police say a third suspect is still at large and currently wanted in connection with the investigation. An arrest warrant has been issued for 20-year-old Dewayne Eugene Ring III on charges of shooting with intent to kill and assault and battery.

Police are encouraging anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact the Altus Police Department or the Jackson County Crime Stoppers.
