Brantley Gilbert and Lindsay Ell have teamed up for a new duet, “What Happens in a Small Town,” the lead single from Gilbert’s upcoming fifth studio album. “What Happens In A Small Town” was produced by Dann Huff, and co-written by Gilbert, Brock Berryhill, Josh Dunne and Rhett Atkins. Ell add her vocals to the single, and also lends her guitar chops.
“It was great that they wanted me to play,” Lindsay says. “To be part of a song like this is great, but to be asked to play on someone’s song who I respect so much takes it up another level.”
“What Happens in a Small Town” will be released to country radio on Jan. 14. Meanwhile you can check out the lyric video for the new single below.
