The Oklahoma Blood Institute and several area high schools implore all healthy residents to show their Bedlam spirit AND save lives tomorrow.
Two area blood drives will be held Thursday with the first one in Burns Flat/Dill City from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm and will be held in the high school library.
The second drive is in Cordell from 9 am until 2 pm.  It’ll be held in the main room of the Washita County Activities Center.
Each donor will receive a select OU crimson or OSU orange, Bedlam-themed football T-shirts.  And, one lucky donor this fall will win a pair of tickets to the Bedlam football game on November 28 in Stillwater.
Someone needs blood every two seconds and since blood can only be used for 42 days, the need for blood is constant.
Health screenings and Donor Rewards points, redeemable for gift cards and apparel in OBI’s online store are also provided to donors.  Donors can support blood centers in underserved countries if they forgo T-shirts.
Donations can be made every 56 days by blood donors and it typically takes about an hour.
Oklahoma Blood Institute is the ninth largest, non-profit blood center in America, providing every drop of blood needed by patients in 158 state medical facilities including hospitals throughout Paragon Communications listening area.
