Granger Smith and Earl Dibbles Jr. know how to throw a damn fine party. I had a chance to catch Granger (and Earl) in Amarillo several weeks back at Midnight Rodeo, and from open to close Granger entertained. What was the line in the Hubbard tune? Something about "good talk". Granger had "good talk" that night. He also was all over the stage, especially when Earl took to the stage. Jumping around, waving his flag, leading the audience through "The Country Boy Song" like an insane backwoods hillbilly uber-redneck general. This is why it came as no big surprise when this picture wound up in my email.

As Andrew W.K. once said, "When it's time to party, we will party hard!" Ol' Earl wound up heading to the E.R. to get seven stitches in his dip filled dome, but not before hanging around to sign autographs and meet the fans. There's an "American Horror Story/Bloody Face" joke here somewhere...I'll just leave it to you to make it.
