State Sen. Tom Ivester (D-Elk City) gave his thoughts on the final presidential debate last night. But what really fired him up was talking about the recent meeting--concerning making schools more efficient--in which a fellow legislator from Tulsa apparently wanted to consolidate either school districts or administrative duties for multiple districts within a single county. However, the fellow legislator's own county would be excluded from the proposal.
Latia Murray and Jenny Kauk, organizers of the local chapter of Oklahoma Parent Advocates of Children with special neends (OPAC) spoke about this Saturday's training session at WTC in Burns Flat. The session is "Building Relationships to Create Successful Change" with Dr. Laura Riffel. It's hosted by Oklahoma Parents Center, Inc.
