Steve Hewitt, Clinton City Manager, hit the highlites from last week's City Council meeting. No one hired or fired.

Landry and I briefly discussed the reason that OU fans have a special loathing for the University of Notre Dame. It's all about ending OU's 47 game winning streak in 1957,

Ashley McAlary and Melissa Williams, co-founders of the Dream League--an effort in Western OK to let children with special needs play baseball--spoke about the group and about its fundraiser. Hughes Specialty Services has donated a 1969 Buick Skylark, which will be given away Nov. 17 at the EC Civic Center. Tickets are for sale for $100 apiece, and they're available at Gene Smith Chevrolet, Nagle's Snappy Sak, Doug Gray Dodge, Circle A Western Wear and Outdoor Store, and Barber-Dyson Ford. You can also get them at the KECO studio, 220 S. Pioneer in Elk City.
