After a public outcry regarding an ordinance prohibiting the display of political signs in yards 30 days prior to an election, Elk City officials say they’ll address the ordinance during the next regular meeting of the city commissioners.

City Manager Tom Ivester says the ordinance right now has two constitutional issues that needs to be addressed.

Ivester says the second issue involves the 14th Amendment.

Monday’s regular meeting where the city commission will discuss the ordinance will take place inside city hall at 7 p.m.
