A Custer City woman is in critical condition after being involved in a two vehicle accident in Custer County near Arapaho.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, 56-year-old Deanna L. Johnson was admitted into an Oklahoma City hospital with head, trunk internal, trunk external, arm and leg injuries Thursday afternoon after the 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis that she was driving went left of center on U.S. Highway 183 and striking a 2012 GMC Sierra pickup driven by 35-year-old Michael Anthony Taylor of Thomas. Taylor was also airlifted to an Oklahoma City hospital and admitted with an arm injury, last listed to be in stable condition.

The collision caused the Taylor vehicle to roll one and half times before coming to rest on its top.

Two passengers, one in each vehicle, were both uninjured in the accident.

OHP says the mishap occurred about four miles north of Arapaho.

Officials say the condition of Johnson before the accident is still under investigation.
