A contraband drop at the Oklahoma State Reformatory Work Center in Granite led to the capture of one suspect with another still at large.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, troopers received a call from the Mangum Police Department Sunday afternoon to report that a Department of Corrections vehicle was in pursuit of a silver Hyundai that made the drop at the facility. The report stated that they were able to stop the vehicle on State Highway 44 on the east side of Lake Altus-Lugert in Kiowa County, however the two occupants of the vehicle fled on foot and it was reported that they were possibly armed.

O.H.P assisted in the search of the two suspects with aircraft and other on the ground assistance. At press time, one subject was taken into custody without incident, and all troopers had been released to normal patrols but reportedly will be close to the area. The second suspect has yet to be captured.

No formal charges have been filed at this time. The names of the suspects have not been released.
