An Enid man wanted in Beckham County on multiple federal charges including attempted murder and kidnapping was captured late Tuesday afternoon in Lawton.

27-year-old Christopher Michael Carlock led Lawton police on a high speed pursuit through city streets before being captured in a field behind a shopping center.

Carlock was wanted in Beckham County for his alleged role in the kidnapping and beating of a man in an Elk City hotel.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Carlock allegedly had beaten the man with a tire iron, threatened to cut his fingers and toes off with dog clippers, and held the man against his will in a hotel bathroom. Elk City Police, who spearheaded the investigation, became aware of the incident after being notified of videos of the bloodied victim on social media.

Beckham County Sheriff Derek Manning says Carlock is still being held in Comanche County.

Sheriff Manning says he’s unsure as to when Carlock will be extradited back to Beckham County.
