Coronavirus: April 7 Update – Jackson County Up to 6

16 additional deaths due to COVID-19 are being reported in Oklahoma, bringing the state’s total to 67.

According to the latest data released just before noon Tuesday, the Oklahoma State Department of Health is reporting that there are currently 1,472 confirmed positive cases of the virus in the state.

Locally, Greer County continues to be a hot spot for the virus, seeing its total number of confirmed cases rise to 31, however no additional deaths out of the county. Jackson County has seen an additional 2 cases, bringing the total number to 6. Elsewhere, other counties in the area went unchanged including Beckham County with 1 case, Kiowa County with 1, and Custer County with 5.

61 of Oklahoma’s 77 counties are reporting cases of COVID-19.

Washita County still remains without a confirmed case of the virus.
