The daily report from the Oklahoma Health Department showed a current count of 248 cases of COVID-19 in the state with 7 deaths.

Currently there are three confirmed cases in Custer County and no confirmed cases in other area counties, unchanged from Wednesday.

Governor Kevin Stitt ordered businesses like bars, gyms, hair salons, movie theaters and massage and tattoo parlors to shut down for 21 days in all 33 counties, including Custer County, where positive tests have been confirmed.

But as the area braces for confirmation of possible cases in the area, Elk City Convention and Visitors Bureau Director Julie Lenius reminds the public of the city’s declaration of emergency, and what that currently means for businesses in the city.

Governor Stitt did say the order would expand to other counties when cases are detected.
