Great Plains Regional Medical Center CEO Corey Lively on KECO’s The Early Morning Show this Monday talking about COVID-19, or better known as the coronavirus.

Lively says the hospital in Elk City prepares regularly for events that would see a mass influx of patients admitted to the facility. He says the hospital is very prepared.

Lively reminds the public to practice common sense by being hygienic, and to stay home if you are sick.

Lively also added that based on state and national emergency levels, the hospital has activated its incident command system.

Lively says although testing kits for the coronavirus are very limited at the hospital, he does expect more testing kits to be delivered either Monday or Tuesday.

He also noted that if there were a sudden influx of 52 patients within a two or three week time frame, the hospital could accommodate that volume.
