An odd story from the east side of Oklahoma that involved a Pampa, Texas man getting hit by a vehicle. Unfortunately the man perished in the accident.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the accident took place on Interstate 40 near Checotah when the 2016 GMC Sierra driven by 28-year-old Brittany Booth of Wister, Oklahoma struck the bicycle that was ridden by 31-year-old Cody Ellis of Pampa, Texas.

The report stated that Ellis was eastbound on the shoulder of I-40 when, for an unknown reason, entered into the outside lane of traffic. He was struck shortly thereafter. Ellis was transported to a Checotah hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
