Elk City, City Manager Lee Litterell gave an update of the activity center that will be constructed in Ackley Park West. He says it’s early but the facility is still in the planning stage.
Litterell says once ground breaks, the activity center is projected to take 15 to 18 months to construct.
This facility, along with turf at the baseball field in Ackley Park and the baseball / softball complex, is the first of many projects that Elk City citizens approved last February as part of the Community Action Project Plans, or CAPPs, that saw the extension of a 1% sales tax.
