An Erick man is in the county jail on a $100-thousand dollar bond for child porn.

41-year-old Tony Lee Freeman was arrested by Elk City Police after detectives tracked him down through various internet searches and a static IP address through CableOne.

He’s been charged with pornography – produce, distribute, possess juvenile porn.  Investigators believed Freeman’s been staying at various motels in the western Oklahoma area including one in Sayre.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Freeman was staying at the Western Motel in Sayre from February 18 through the 22 and was allegedly engaged in child pornography at the time. Investigators also believe he was staying at the Glancy Motel on West Gary Boulevard in Clinton on July 6.

A detective with the Elk City police department said he’d received two tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that led to Freeman’s arrest. Investigators believe that Freeman willingly bought, procured or possessed child porn accessing – over the internet – sexually explicit images of minor children, some that appear to be under the age of 10.

The tips included 16 uploaded files of suspected child porn photographs along with an E-mail account that has since been disabled. The motel’s records indicated that Freeman was staying at the motel during the same time period that the pornographic images were uploaded.

Freeman has a past criminal record. He pled guilty in 2011 to a charge of domestic abuse/assault and battery and pled guilty in 2008 to a charge of child abuse by injury and child neglect, both felonies.

No court date has been listed yet according to online court records.
